Women are not only physically less powerful than men, they are also conditioned from birth to be more delicate, less aggressive and to avoid activities, games and sports that are interpreted as “violent” or combative. For us women, self-defense starts in our minds.
We have to learn to allow us to fight. For a long time, we have heard: “Do what your attacker tells you, don’t fight and maybe he’ll let you go!”.

Luckily, people have stopped saying this! With all this I want to say that when I created my self-defense system for women, I wanted to do more than create a program of effective techniques, easy to learn and without obstacles; I wanted to create a complete program that included other essential constituents: o Situation Awareness o Alert Conditioning Levels o Improvised Weapons o Tactical Escapes o Encouraging Confidence o Health and Wellness Information o Victim Assistance and Resources o Sources of related products and services o Crime statistics and data This is why TRU (“Trained-Ready-Unafraid”), my system, was born: to STRENGTHEN women, to provide them with the necessary tools to preventing or evading an attack, or when it is unavoidable, fighting successfully.

Surrendering to violence is never an option!!!
