Part 4 of AUCM’s Classical Chinese Herbal Medicine, featuring Jeffrey Yuen.
As we enter the third year of the Covid pandemic, a growing number of individuals find themselves diagnosed with a new ailment referred to as “Long-Covid.” Despite being unfamiliar to most, Chinese medicine provides highly sophisticated explanations regarding the development of post-infectious sequelae, such as “Long-Covid.” Dr. Yuen, in this session, will delve into the Chinese medicine perspective on the pathogenesis of long covid and how inadequate treatment significantly contributes to its manifestation. Subsequently, he will explore diverse treatments for long covid and other persistent pathogens. The discussion will incorporate concepts from the Shang Han Lun and Wen Bing, channel systems, Sun si miao, and the four great masters. The therapeutic approaches will encompass acupuncture, herbal medicine, essential oils, qigong, and dietary modification.
