The Actor’s Background Geoff Thompson chose violence as his profession, working as a doorman in some of the roughest clubs in Britain. With a 6 Dan Black Belt in Japanese Karate, 1st Dan in Judo, and expertise in various other martial arts, he possesses formidable skills. In addition to writing several books, he crafted a film script titled “Watch My Back,” based on his life, and penned a stage play called “A Sock Foot,” which caught the attention of The Royal Court Theater in London’s West End, leading to an invitation to join their exclusive group of writers. In 1997, Chuck Norris brought Geoff to the United States to teach at his international seminar. Geoff served as a martial arts ambassador, making appearances on national and international TV and radio. He was the self-defense expert on BBC Good Morning for a couple of years, providing valuable insights and advice on self-protection and related topics. Geoff’s work is known for its innovation and thought-provoking nature. Currently, he serves as the Sub Editor for Martial Arts Illustrated and as a Contributing Editor for Men’s Fitness magazine. He has written numerous articles for mainstream publications like Loaded, Maxim, FHM, Arena, Esquire, and GQ Magazine (Britain-Paris). Geoff has also made several appearances on mainstream TV, including ITV’s Martial Arts: The True Story, broadcasted in two one-hour programs. Apart from his literary works and videos, he worked as the Martial Arts choreographer for the Royal Court’s production ‘Hard Fruit’ in London and received the EMDA Award for the screenplay of the film ‘Watch My Back.’ In 2004, Geoff’s short film, Brown Paper Bag, was honored with a BAFTA award.
