Subsequently, the weapon is wrested away, enabling its use for defense or counterattacks, including blocks or throws, ultimately rendering the opponent helpless. Moreover, Petrilli imparts kamot techniques such as locks, chokes, and throws for unarmed opponents. His instruction encompasses numerous disarms, stick strips, leveraging the attacker’s own weapon, executing locks from various angles, and throws that incapacitate the opponent, leaving them defenseless on the ground.
Christopher Petrilli, a former US Army Ranger, holds an 8th-degree black belt in Doce Pares eskrima under the legendary Grandmaster Ciriaco “Cacoy” Cañete. He also possesses expertise in Indonesian silat pentjak and Japanese aikido.
