This DVD showcases the work of the Filipino school of martial arts, BISAYA ESKRIMA, for the first time. The first volume demonstrates the fundamental techniques of the school’s core focus, Corto Serrada, and provides an introduction to knife work, known as Baraw.
Filmed entirely in the Philippines, this audiovisual project is intended to introduce viewers to the BISAYA ESKRIMA school and serve as an educational resource for its members.
Established in 2015 by Bruno Cancho (born in Paris in 1975), the BISAYA ESKRIMA School integrates principles and techniques from various styles to present an authentic vision of Filipino martial arts. The school adopts an honest and contemporary approach suitable for the Western world.
Featuring Bruno Cancho, Gaston Marcotti, and Thierry Thia.
