Barry Julian Eichengreen (born 1952) is an American economist^[1] who holds the title of George C. Pardee and Helen N. Pardee Professor of Economics and Political Science at the University of California, Berkeley, where he has taught since 1987.^[2] Eichengreen currently serves as a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research and as a Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research.

Eichengreen’s mother was Lucille Eichengreen, a Holocaust survivor and author.
