Inayan Sinawali is a dual stick training style in Filipino martial arts. He uses different striking patterns to develop dual weapon proficiency.
Often known for its rapid “weaving” (hence the name Sinawali) of striking patterns as students interact with each other, this is one of the most fun and easy to learn of Filipino martial arts. Easy to learn but hard to master.
On this tape, the Inayan Sinawali Drills 2 standard – counts up to 9 counts will be demonstrated.
The 5 – and 7 out – Sinawalis count will be shown along with the basic loadout (camera) positions.
Sinawali helps develop hand-eye coordination, timing, footwork, rhythm, focus, sensitivity, fluidity, concentration and hand/wrist flexibility.
To better understand the Sinawali style, the following concepts will be demonstrated and explained: matching, mirror, round, reverse round, complementary, transposing, chasing, threading and mirror threading. 56 minutes
