Contained within the 97-minute duration are all the essential disarming techniques required in the current DAV student program, spanning from 1st to 5th grade. The curriculum covers a wide spectrum, including disarms against both right-handed and left-handed attackers, as well as techniques involving flexible tools.

For yellow belt practitioners, the video includes the first series of disarms against both right-handed and left-handed attackers, accompanied by variations, techniques with flexible tools, and empty-handed disarms. Green belt students delve into the second series of disarms, exploring variations, techniques with the stick in the other hand, disarms with flexible tools, and empty-handed techniques.

Blue belt practitioners progress to the third disarming series, covering techniques with both stick and empty hands, along with variations. The fourth series of disarmament is explored in detail, encompassing techniques with the stick and empty hands, as well as various adaptations. Brown belt students learn the principles of the fifth disarming series, including peeling and stripping techniques, along with the fifth series of disarms, variations, empty-handed techniques, and free disarming with a stick, covering all series.

This comprehensive video is the brainchild of Grandmaster Datu Dieter Knüttel, a Master in Sport Science, who serves as the Modern Arnis Chief Instructor for Germany’s DAV and was the Modern Arnis European Representative from 1996 to 2001 under Professor Remy A. Presas. In 1996, he was honored with the title of DATU and the rank of Lakan Anim, 6th Dan Modern Arnis, a distinction he shares with a select few, making him the only recipient outside the US. His expertise is not confined to theoretical knowledge; since 1978, he has actively engaged in Filipino martial arts and has conducted FMA/Modern Arnis seminars since 1980 across Europe, Australia, the USA, Russia, and even in the Philippines. With this extensive experience, he stands as one of the most distinguished Modern Arnis Masters globally.
