Joint Manipulation, commonly referred to as manipulating the joints of the human anatomy, involves precise angles and force application to control opponents through pain and pressure.

While individuals can easily enhance their muscle strength, strengthening the ligaments and tendons connecting bones and muscles is a challenging task. Consequently, correct application of joint manipulation can be remarkably effective with minimal force and effort. Hwa Rang Do® boasts a comprehensive array of joint manipulation techniques suitable for various types of attacks, including empty-handed and weapon-based assaults. These techniques are employed to restrain, subdue, bring down, and neutralize aggressors, serving essential purposes in self-defense, law enforcement, and military scenarios.

Volume 3 of this series covers techniques such as the Circle Under Inside C-Lock, designed to counter common attacks like punches, shoves, lapel grabs, back fists, and shoulder strikes, along with their variations. Additionally, the Outside Circle Under Wristlock is demonstrated against punches, pushes, lapel grabs, fists, and rear shoulder grabs, showcasing its versatility.
