John Pellegrini, the founder and president of multiple martial arts schools, such as the International Federation of Combat Hapkido (Chon-Tu Kwan Hapkido), the Independent TaeKwonDo Association, the World Martial Arts Alliance, Self-Defense America Inc., and the International Police Defense Tactics Institute.

Qualifications Grande Maître Pellegrini holds a 9th dan black belt in hapkido awarded by the World Ki-Do Federation / Hanminjok Hapkido Association, as well as a 9th dan black belt in taekwondo from ITA. He possesses a Kukkiwon (WTF) certification, a master instructor certification in Hosinsul (self-defense), and another certification as an instructor in Jeet kune do.

Awards and Honors Throughout his more than 40-year career in martial arts, Grandmaster John Pellegrini has been the recipient of a plethora of awards and accolades. These recognitions have come from various martial arts schools, a multitude of law enforcement agencies worldwide, and diverse organizations and military entities. In 1999 and 2001, he was honored as the individual who has made the most significant contribution to the world of martial arts by the Action Martial Arts Magazine Hall of Fame.
