Description

David Dye has been an officer with the Costa Mesa Police Department since 1967 and has taught defensive tactics courses for his own department as well as other police departments throughout the state of California. He has appeared on national television demonstrating many of his techniqeu trainings and is a recognized expert in the use of the Police Nunchaku (O.P.N.).

Officer Dye holds a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Yoshinkan Aikido and additional positions in Judo and Karate. He was awarded his 3rd Degree Black Belt and lifetime teaching credential from Soke Sensei Gozo Shioda of Aikido Yoshinkan Honbu Dojo in Tokyo, Japan.

Yoshinkan Aikido is the only martial art form authorized for instruction by Tokyo Metropolitan Riot Police.

02. Control and Restriction Volume 2:

Wrist Locks and Dismounts: Officer David Dye personally teaches six important wrist locks and removal techniques designed to immediately control and restrain an aggressive subject. Each technique concludes with the proper handcuffing techniques to complete the assailant apprehension.
